In regards to its size, the 2023 Rio measures 172.6 inches long and 67.9 inches wide, making it great for city driving and tight parking spots. However, even with its small size, the Rio still offers class-leading passenger room. 

Performance

The standard engine on the 2023 Kia Rio is a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder that is paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission. This powertrain delivers a peppy 120 horsepower and 112 lb-ft of torque. The true benefit of this engine, though, is its fuel economy. You can expect to get up to 32 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 36 mpg combined.[1]

Interior

As previously mentioned, the 2023 Rio offers class-leading passenger room. In total, you’ll have room for up to five people in the sedan. The Rio LX’s seats come in Black Tricot and Woven Cloth while the Rio S offers the same along with Gray Tricot and Woven Cloth. 

The driver’s seat can be adjusted in six different ways so you can find your ideal position behind the wheel. Technology

It’s easy to stay connected on the go in the new Kia Rio. The standard 8-inch touch-screen display works seamlessly with wireless Android Auto™ and wireless Apple CarPlay® so you can see all of your favorite compatible apps. You can also connect your devices via Bluetooth®, Siri® Eyes Free or the front USB input. 

If you need added connectivity features, the Rio S Technology Package adds helpful amenities like SiriusXM® satellite radio and Kia Connect. The Kia Connect system lets you remotely access the sedan and do things like lock or unlock the doors, locate the parked Rio, check on diagnostics, and more. 

Safety

With the new Kia Rio’s standard Rear-Camera Display with guidance lines, it will be a breeze to fit in parking spots. Outside of convenience, the Rio is made from a sturdy steel structure and comes with an advanced airbag system, Anti-lock Braking, and Electronic Stability Control to help keep you steady on the road. 

The 2023 Rio S lets you add a suite of available driver-assist systems like Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Driver Attention Warning, and Rear Occupant Alert.
