You may remember that for the 2018 model year the Forte had a total of three trim levels, but this year there are some changes to that lineup, and now we have four trim levels in total. The all-new 2019 Forte lineup now starts with the FE trim and goes up from there with the LXS, S, and the top EX. We’ll go into each of them here with our 2019 Kia Forte trim level breakdown.

What engine comes standard on the Forte for 2019?

For 2019, the Forte gets an impressive engine standard. It’s a 2.0-liter engine that delivers 147 horsepower. Depending on features and options, it can provide up to 31-city mpg and 41-highway mpg. Not only does this engine come standard, it’s the only engine for 2019.

What features come with the Forte FE base model?

This is perhaps the most interesting trim for 2019 as it provides a ridiculous amount of value. With a starting MSRP of $17,690 you get a 6-speed manual transmission, forward collision warning and avoidance assist, lane keep assist, and a rear-view monitor. What’s more, you also get a standard 8-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The FE also has dual-zone automatic climate control.

Don’t want a manual? The FE with all its features can still be had with an automatic transmission for an MSRP of just $18,590. This isn’t just any automatic transmission, but an Intelligent Variable Transmission or IVT. This IVT comes standard on every other trim level.
